Having spent a week with children who have nothing, I must remember one thing. They don't have nothing- they have hope. They have joy. May we be so blessed.

TodayI needed you today- Where were you? (Here beside me, unaware focus fractured favored snare)Today
I needed you today- What happened? (Distance palpable, distress left in longing love recess)
I needed you today- Do you care? (Language futile, over-worn grace is granted ground forborne)

intentA jumble of thoughts No fog lamps to pierce the haze This long day is done But another comes quicklyintent
Time runs uncontrolled My only choice how it's spent (Choice often surpassed by the need of another)
Purpose and intent Must seek and find common ground Despite confusion Kept not long at bay with prayer

The Giftthe hours long, the struggles high sometimes the goal is just getting by you have suffered the price for faults of mine I'm but the steward, you the gift from the divineThe Gift
but for a moment to pause and see not for what was or what will be for your journey as you begin I see the glimmer of the man within
